”’hatsu’ is a huge step forward and the beginning of a new level of expression with my music. This humble EP takes you through a night's sleep through my perspective. After tanking the disorientation of waking up in the middle of the night, trying to line up the broken shards into something legible; all before remembering to forget, at any cost and in desperation. If it weren't so nauseating, I'd explain my emotions more but I feel like it'd be mutually better if it was left (mostly) for interpretation ~ the production of this EP comprised mostly of letting my subconscious take the wheel as I sort of went on autopilot, making the most accurate brain-to-song interpretation I could. a lot of experimentation went into this and I'm so happy to finally declare my style with this. It only took me around a decade” - X
