Melding together sound design, heavy beats and melodic songwriting, JHL interweaves pop and deconstructed club music through trailblazing productions filled with stylistically AutoTuned vocals and foley effects. Extrapolating from many musical inspirations, JHL creates his own brand of electronic music with an eclectic selection of influences, from classical music to house to jersey club. JHL’s releases on Soundcloud include a variety of hard-hitting remixes and distinctive covers that has helped him garner a following of DJs and casual listeners. In May of 2022, he released his debut ep ‘GSCF’ on the label Soul Feeder, which focuses on club-ready experimental rap with brooding instrumentation and literary lyricism. In the same label, JHL released his sophomore EP 'Lonely at The Top' in July 2023, delving more into pop music, incorporating aspects of 90s rock, filmic string arrangements, jungle and baile funk. Always working, JHL is forging connections and forming collaborations with other artists. Accompanying his solo releases are many collaborations with many different artists spanning across a great amount of internet labels and collectives. New ideas seems to always be in the works for JHL and an endless pursuit of connection. Life is better together.
